She said YES!!! When Mike contacted me about capturing his proposal for Danika, I was SO in. Surprises? Love? Time in First Creek Canyon? Heck, yes! I LOVE capturing these kinds of moments for my couples… especially when it’s a big surprise! Danika and Mike’s First Creek Canyon proposal was so sweet, and I can’t wait for you too see it!
First Creek Canyon Proposal
After exploring some of First Creek Canyon, the big moment approached. It can be hard to hide in the desert, so I tried to look like a tourist as much as I could. When I noticed Mike get down on one knee, I began to capture the moments as they unfolded. Danika just couldn’t believe he was asking. There’s something seriously beautiful about these moments. Capturing the raw, real emotions my couples feel in the biggest decision of their life! It was absolutely breathtaking.
After it was official, I was able to be one of the first people to congratulate the newly engaged couple!! I documented the proposal with some portraits and we explored First Creek Canyon a bit more. This is one of my favorite places – wide open spaces, the Joshua tree, and so many rock formations to climb and pose my couples on. It was the perfect way to celebrate this special moment with Danika and Mike! Congratulations again, you two! I can’t wait for your Las Vegas wedding day!!
