Although COVID-19 has messed with A LOT of wedding days, family gatherings, school days, and so much more, every day, there’s people reminding us that love still wins. Jennifer and David are two of those people. These now newlyweds, were planning to be wed in October of 2020. But once COVID-19 hit, they knew they had an opportunity. Neither wanted to wait – so they went out, got their marriage license, and asked me if I could come out to Brea, California in early April for a small, intimate wedding in their front yard. Of course I said yes! Every moment of their day was special. From being able to get ready at home, as a family, to saying “I do” where they spend every day together, it was a beautiful day.
Intimate Wedding in the Front Yard
In efforts to keep their wedding day safe, casual, and enjoyable for everyone, Jennifer and David changed all their plans. They had fewer than 10 people and were married on the front porch of their Brea, CA home. I assumed the role of both photographer and officiant, and it was such an honor!! With their little girls and dog around them, they said “I do”, despite everything crazy going on in the world. It was such a beautiful moment to watch. All we really do need is love.
I capture their beautiful ceremony and a few portraits around their home, as well as with their sweet girls. Then it was time to eat! They fed me some incredible food while I edited their sneak peeks. After the big reveal, I packed up and made my way home to Vegas. I was definitely smiling a lot of the trip home! How could I not, after such a special day?!
Congratulations, Jennifer and David! This was such a moving and amazing experience. Thank you for trusting me to capture your day and officiate – I am beyond moved that I could be a part of this with you!
