Going through COVID-19 and the restrictions it put on my business, as well as so many others, has been such a journey. I have missed my couples, these wedding days, and all of the in between moments. So, needless to say, I was so excited when the day finally came that I could photograph Chelsea and Eric’s Downtown Las Vegas elopement after quarantine was lifted! It was the perfect way to get back in to life and work here in Las Vegas!! These two are just such a fun couple, so it’s no surprise their wedding day was a blast.
Downtown Las Vegas Elopement
Chelsea and Eric got engaged on their last trip to Las Vegas in early March. They knew they wanted to get married quickly. So Chelsea and Eric began to plan a fun elopement for their next trip in May. We all waited anxiously to hear if everything in Vegas was going to open or stay closed because of the virus, which would impact their wedding. Thankfully they were able to come out to Las Vegas for their elopement!
The two decided to have their ceremony at the Little White Wedding Chapel – and they got married by Elvis! It was hilarious and we all had a good time listening to Elvis serenade them in the Tunnel of Love! But, that wasn’t enough for these two lively newlyweds. After their ceremony, they wanted to explore downtown, East Fremont, and enjoy some 40s of Coors Banquet. I happily obliged – and we had a GREAT time! Downtown gave such an awesome vibe to their wedding portraits.
Elopements are all about the couple getting married – because they bring the focus back to that moment, what a marriage is all about. They also take the “production” vibe out of a wedding day! You get to design the best day for you as a couple, from start to finish, in a unique & special location to commit your lives to each other. It’s so much fun to be a part of these incredible, unique, and often, playful celebrations of your wedding!
